It works surprisingly well.

I’ve been amazed by this Photo extension’s ability to reduce noise in some of my noisier digital photos. It was so successful that I even rubbed some actual physical photos that I took with a 35 mm camera up against my computer to see if it would help. So far nothing, but maybe in the next update. Serisouly, though, I am quite pleased with the product, and as an amateur I have no need for RAW processessing functionality, which many of the complaints for this product seemed to be about. I agree that it should have been clearer that this much cheaper version didn’t include that feature when apparently the more expensive version on their webite does do RAW images, but for someone with only pictures from a point-and-shoot and their smartphone this version is all that’s necessary.

I should note: this version does offer many options for tweaking the settings, most of which I haven’t even had to touch. It may lack RAW support, but it looks like it should keep even a much more advanced amateur photograhper than I happy.
